How to Add Animated Social Proof to Your Shopify Product Page (In 30 Seconds)

If you are using the Dawn theme (or any Shopify 2.0 theme), you might have noticed it lacks a dedicated, animated social proof section out of the box. Today, we’re going to fix that. In this tutorial, we will show you how to add a high-converting, animated social proof block to your store using the Section Store app. It requires zero coding and takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Install the Section Store App

First, you'll need the Section Store app. It’s a library of custom sections that you can add to any theme. Go to the Shopify App Store, search for "Section Store," and install it. It is free to install.

Step 2: Find the Social Proof Block

Open the app and navigate to the "Conversion Blocks" tab. This collection features elements specifically designed to boost sales. Look for the animated Social Proof block.

Note: This premium block is part of their subscription, but you can access it via a 14-day free trial to test if it actually increases your sales before committing.

Step 3: Add it to Your Theme

Once you've selected the block:

• Click "Edit in Theme".
• Select the live theme you are currently working on (e.g., Dawn).

Step 4: Customize in the Editor

You will be redirected to your Shopify Theme Editor. Navigate to your Product Page.

• On the left sidebar, click "Add Block".
• Select the Social Proof block you just added.
• Drag it to your desired location—we recommend placing it right under the "Add to Cart" button for maximum visibility.

Finally, click on the block to customize the text and images. You can change the copy to something like "1,000+ Happy Customers" or upload custom user avatars to match your brand's aesthetic.
