Section Store ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") provides a website design solution ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Automatic Information from Shopify

When you install the App, we automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify account, including:

  • Store name and URL
  • Store owner contact information

Customer Information

To provide our services, including our product bundles feature, we access certain customer information from your Shopify store:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and physical address
  • Geolocation, IP address, browser type, and operating system
  • Customer tags you've added to customer accounts

Store and Product Information

We access the following store data to enable our services:

  • Product listings, products, and collections
  • Order details for the last 60 days
  • Discount codes and promotions
  • Inventory of products and their variants
  • Product in-store pickup availability and locations
  • Product tags and selling plans
  • Metaobjects
  • Files in your Shopify admin
  • Analytics pixels

Automatically Collected Information

We collect technical information using the following technologies:

3. Use of Artificial Intelligence

We may offer optional features powered by artificial intelligence ("AI") through our integration with Anthropic. These features are strictly opt-in and will only process data when you explicitly choose to use them within the App. The AI is not trained on Shopify stores that use Section Store, and AI is not used by the App on your storefront by default or in any automatic manner. Any data submitted to the AI is used solely to generate the requested output and is not used to train, retrain, or improve the underlying models. We do not permit our AI provider to store or use your data for model training purposes. If you do not choose to use these features, no AI processing will occur in connection with your store through the App.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), our legal basis for collecting and using your personal information depends on the specific information and context:
