How to Add Payment Icons to Your Shopify Product Page (No Code)

If your Shopify product pages are looking a little empty or you want to boost customer trust immediately, adding payment icons under your "Buy" button is one of the quickest wins you can get. Trust signals like Visa, PayPal, and Apple Pay logos subconsciously reduce payment anxiety and help polish the look of standard themes like Dawn.

In this guide, we’ll walk through how to add these icons using the Section Store app. It takes about two minutes, requires zero coding, and works with any OS 2.0 theme.

Step 1: Install the Section Store App

First, ensure you have the Section Store app installed on your Shopify store. This app allows you to add custom sections - like trust badges, features lists, and payment icons—directly to your theme without hiring a developer.

Step 2: Select and Add the Payment Icon Section

Open the Section Store app and browse the conversion blocks tab for the "Payment Icons" section. Once you find it, simply click to add it to your current theme. The advantage here is that these sections are built with Liquid code (native to Shopify), so they won't slow down your site like some heavy page builder apps might.

Step 3: Customize in the Theme Editor

Navigate to your Online Store > Themes > Customize. Switch the view to your Product Page.

You should now see the new Payment Icons section available to add or already present in your template. You can drag and drop it exactly where you want it—usually, this looks best directly under the "Add to Cart" or "Buy Now" buttons.

Refining the Look

Click on the section to open the settings panel on the right. Here you can tweak the design to match your brand:

• Padding & Spacing: Use the padding settings (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) to position the icons perfectly. If you need a little more breathing room above or below the icons, just increase the pixel count.
• Icon Selection: You can toggle on/off specific providers like Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Visa, and Shop Pay.
• Alignment: Ensure the icons are aligned with your product description and buttons (usually left-aligned or centered).

Step 4: Save and Preview

Once you are happy with the padding and the icons selected, hit Save. You can click the three dots in the top left to "View" your store and see the changes live.
